This was the best week! Our new author is Robert Munsch. We have read many of his books including I Have To Go, Thomas's Snowsuit, Ribbon Rescue, and Paper Bag Princess. Today is Jordyn's pretend birthday because her birthday is in the summer. The school days are shorter now, but they are really back to normal. Today is the last Friday, and we only have four more days. Kids who earned 20 A.R. points went to the magic show. They had medals for tickets. We had our party this week. It was fun! We milked cows and had a water balloon egg toss. We also saw a music guy. He is friends with the author of Pete the Cat books, and he sang songs about the books. In math, we did missing addend problems. I hope you have a great weekend!
This week was fun, don't you think? The kids in third, fourth, and fifth grades are taking the CRCT. We have to be really quiet in the halls. It's very hard. Sometime we have specials, and they are in the afternoon. We went outside at a different time. We played four corners. This week was really weird. We practiced diagraphs. We had a spelling bee, and Genevieve was the only one who could spell "oil". We are still taking A.R. tests. Some people are going to the Magic Show, and some people are almost there. In science, we learned about magnets. We took our test on two-digit addition. Everyone did a great job! We learned how to add numbers vertically. We always start with the ones place. We are reading a chapter book by Cynthia Rylant called Gooseberry Park. Some people won medals for field day. Have a great Fun Friday and weekend!
