This was the best week ever! We went outside every day. We said the Pledge of Allegiance in the Media Center, and Mrs. Starner recorded us for the announcements. We read and wrote "How To" books. We also read No More Monsters for Me. We decorated and wrote about pet monsters. We learned -ill and -ack words. We measured with bats. We also did math in the computer lab. We did book buddies. We are going to have a special Fun Friday with Gavin's mom today. We will also have treasure box. We are learning about Ben Franklin. We are so happy that Reagan L. joined the 100 book club. We need 20 more kids to join the club. Last week was Alie's birthday. We had a good week!

Today is Mrs. Baker's birthday! Today Ellie is going to Tennessee. It is a new month called October. Every Friday we have Fun Friday. We learned about our new author: Gail Gibbons. She writes non-fiction books. We learned about facts. They are really true things that nobody can say, "No, that's not real." The first one we read was about owls. I learned that the smallest owl is 5 inches long. It's called an Elf Owl. We also learned that Great Grey Owls are the biggest. Aidan's mom read us a book for Read for the Record. It was called Ladybug Girl. We went to a new special. It was math. We missed Miles for two days. In math we learned about overlapping shapes with geoboards. We also learned about different fractions. We had early release. We hope you have a great long weekend!
Last week was a good week. It was Jackson’s birthday Friday. We did fun Friday and treasure box. We learned about weather. We watched our weather house and observed our weather station. The weather station has a rain gauge and four other tools. We made a chart with data. We read more of Doreen Cronin’s Diary books and watched the video. We went to the library every day that we brought our books back. In math we learned about fractions. We shared chocolate by dividing it into equal parts. We learned that two equal parts are called halves. Three equal parts are called thirds. Four equal parts are called fourths. Mrs. Baker came back! We had a fun week!
